Hi there,

after visiting Java and Bali I am very interested in finding a job as an artdirector for creative marketing concepts, multimedia and graphic design.
I also have a strong interest in crossovers between art and media (active as an artist myself).
The company I would like to work for can be located on Java/Bali or have a department over there. I am willing to relocate for the right joboffer.

Hi Lisa, i went to Bali in september and like you i would like to find a job in Bali.. I'm a graphic designer since 20 years. I think it should be hard to find something; all advertising agencies are in Java...

I love your website, very nice!. You might be right about the jobs on Bali. maybe I should look around on Java. Do you have any real plans about going to Bali or did you let the plan go altogether?

today i have nothing, i have just checked advertising agency in this place and you will find the world agencies form us and europe !
Honestly after this terrible tsunami, I think i have to wait !

I think you are right it will be hard to find something these days. But I'm not in a hurry. If I find something before I'm 45 I'm happy enough! (36 now). Are you only interested in Bali or Java too?

Interesting to see there's more of us.
I'm in web design and distant learning, 55. My website is

For years I've had the fantasy of going to Bali and working there - all I do is electronic stuff, and all I need is a modem and a reliable phone and energy connection - but now I could really do it. Family reasons.
I've been to Bali and Java several times, and liked both, for different reasons. Java is a little threatening, rather muslim, irrational and unpredictable. After a while you start hanging around with other foreigners to share defense measures. Bali is wide-open arms, tolerance, smile...
Most of the agencies are in Jakarta - which is very different from Bali, though not at all charmless, once you're embedded in your kampong. But the atmosphere is totally different from Bali.
On the other hand, Bali is only an hour's flight or some hours in a bus away... and so are Sulawesi, Flores, Lombok.
Did you find any agencies looking for foreign staff?
